1 Scope

This policy describes how Steam: Gone But Not Forgotten (“we”, “our”, “us”) handles personal information obtained through our Australian online store for books and photographic prints. It is designed to satisfy the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2 Personal information we collect

When you buy from us, we collect the following information: the name you enter at checkout, an email address, a phone number (optionally), a shipping address, a billing address, and details of the items you order. Payment details (e.g., credit-card numbers or Apple Pay credentials) are entered by you into a secure payment gateway and are not received or stored by us.

3 How we use your information

We use personal information solely to process and deliver your order, communicate with you about an order or enquiry, and keep records required by Australian consumer and laws. We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

4 Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information. The only third parties that receive data are:

  • Squarespace, which hosts our website and stores order details.

  • Our payment processor, which receives your payment information directly.

  • Delivery services such as Australia Post or couriers, so they can deliver your items.

  • Australian courts, regulators, or law-enforcement agencies, but only when/if we are legally compelled to do so.

No other disclosures occur.

5 Storage and security

All personal information is held in our Squarespace account, protected by a strong password and two-factor authentication. Squarespace may store data on servers outside Australia; we rely on its contractual obligations to safeguard that data in a manner comparable to the APPs.

6 Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing steamnotforgotten@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time (normally within 30 days) and may ask for proof of identity before acting on the request.

7 Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs, please email steamnotforgotten@gmail.com with full details. We will investigate and reply in writing. If you remain dissatisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8 Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any substantial changes will be posted on this page and apply from the date of posting.
